Vixen’s Wedding
This spot is Permanently Closed.
Located at the base of the Arrive Hotel on a busy stretch of East 6th Street, Vixen’s Wedding specializes in Goan cuisine, blending Indian and Portuguese flavors, resulting in dishes like a rich and spicy pork rib vindaloo with coconut salad or savory roast quail over a mole-esque, bittersweet chocolate curry. There’s a very solid prix fixe tasting menu, and if you’re here for a special occasion, it’s probably the way to go. Otherwise, pop in on a casual weekday and order most of the same dishes, a la carte. Whichever route you decide, dishes will generally be served family style. During weekend mornings/afternoons, you can order the Goan-inspired takes on classic brunch dishes, like chai french toast or shrimp with turmeric grits and chaat peanuts.
