Golden Tiger

Golden Tiger is a food truck parked on the patio of Whislers, specializing in fried chicken sandwiches and burgers. The fried chicken sandwich comes in three styles: original, Thai, or buffalo. All of them feature a deep-fried chicken thigh, which already gives them “juicy points,” but the sauces set them apart. The original has gochujang mayo, the Thai has sweet chili sauce, and the buffalo has (you guessed it) buffalo sauce. Golden Tiger is also home to one of our favorite burgers in Austin. It comes as a double by default—our preferred arrangement for a smashburger—with shredded lettuce, pickles, red onions, american cheese, and dousing of special sauce over a couple of thin smashed patties.
