ATLReview
Limerick Junction
Limerick Junction prides itself on being Atlanta’s oldest Irish pub. An Irish flag and Premier League scarves hanging from the rafters combined with dark green accents throughout the small space effectively convey where the bar’s loyalties lie. And while food isn’t the primary reason people come to this small Virginia Highland dive bar, it should be, because all the selections here are tasty and satisfying. The dishes aren’t exactly Irish but most have a fun twist like the saucy Guinness BBQ Wings or juicy Irish Sliders topped with rasher. Regulars line the bar, and it’s not uncommon to see the bartender playing someone in a heated game of chess in between pouring pints. This neighborhood spot is like stumbling across a four-leaf clover, and we’re primed and ready to become regulars.
