With chefs on the floor and a bar cart making the rounds, the noisy and somewhat chaotic atmosphere in this dining room gives us a taste of Carmy's world (Yes, chef). But dinner at Gunshow doesn't feel like an of-the-moment gimmick—it's more like a chef experimentation lab with a dim sum service of small plates that change weekly. Over the years, the majority of our experiences here have been great. We still fondly remember delicious and creative dishes like a cold bulgogi topped with miso ice cream and bits of a waffle cone or individual plastic bags filled with a spicy crawfish boil (bibs included). But dish duds like their chocolate foie gras sandwich cookies still haunt us. Yet, because of the energy and unpredictability, we'll take that gamble since this Glenwood Park spot is our go-to for impressing dates and out-of-towners.
