Parking in the Kroger shopping center on Cobb Parkway (which we’d like to affectionately brand as Ugly Kroger) is always a headache. But we’d embrace it for D’Juan’s well-executed NOLA classics like hearty jambalaya with a hit of spice, tender crawfish in a rich étouffée gravy, and heavy-handed hurricanes. Aside from those Big Easy favorites, the bistro gets creative with appetizers like fries topped with a thick cheesy crab sauce, which we’d rather eat by the spoonful since it feels disjointed from the fries. With soft R&B tunes on the speakers and the smell of fried seafood coming from the kitchen, the small, welcoming space is a tempting persuasion for potential grocery shoppers who really want to eat out anyway.
