Dad’s in Virginia Highland has culinary odes to latchkey kid Americana with items like cheesy pizza rolls, french toast sticks, and even “White Kastle” burgers. Staying true to its namesake, the dad cave digs feature funky red bulb lighting above the bar, a working jukebox full of generic rock songs, and movies like Kindergarten Cop projected on the walls. And it’s worth a visit to the bathrooms to peruse the wall of famous dudes from sitcoms and movies (not to brag but we could name ‘em all). So when we want to relive the best parts of our childhood, this time with alcohol and better food, Dad's is a fun choice.
