Fidela

There are a lot of incredible pizza spots on the Island, and Fidela in Santurce is one of the best. It used to be a food truck, but now, a cool group of chefs with forearm tattoos are slinging wood-oven, sourdough pies in a proper permanent location. All of the options are excellent, but the honey pepperoni that you’ll spot on nearly every table is next level. Pizza is still the star, but you can also get a few small plates on the side, like boquerones with shallots covered in a pepperoncini aioli. They’re only open Wednesday through Saturday and don’t take reservations, so it’s ideal for solo diners or groups of two or three.
