Chadwick’s is the Castro’s resident sweet treat provider. The takeout window on Market focuses on “Fun Buns,” which are basically cinnamon rolls with a swirl of cream cheese icing you’ll want to slather over every future dessert. Zero in on the lemon Fun Bun: the extra fluffy dough is tangy with lemon curd, and the frosting gets brightened up thanks to a touch of lemon zest. They also do focaccia pizzas or calzone-like “Dough Boys” when a substantial meal is in order. Or if you’re in the market for an on-the-go snack, you can grab a bite-sized mini bun for $1.50 and be on your way.
