The Scratcher is a low-key alternative to its neighbors on Bowery like The Standard and The Wren. It’s a dark, slightly subterranean space with a solid amount of seating, and it’s a good spot to get a beer after work - Happy Hour goes till 8pm.

The Brazen Fox is a nice two-story pub near Union Square where you can get a burger, drink a good beer, and watch some sports.
DBA is a bar in the East Village that’s good for people who like whiskey and beer and drinking those things outside.
Ten Degrees is a wine bar in the East Village where all the drinks are two-for-one until 8pm everyday.
