Pop's Eat-Rite

Pop’s Eat Rite is a casual takeout spot on St. Marks Place in the East Village that serves vegan fast food. They have three burgers on the menu that all incorporate Impossible Burger smash patties (including a rotating special), as well as dairy-free soft serve, and vegan sides. The classic burger at Pop’s Eat Rite has the grease factor of an Americana fast food fever dream. So much so that it will practically sing “You’re The One That I Want” at you before you eat it. It’s topped with thick-cut sour pickles, caramelized onions, a dash of sweet ketchup, and vegan American cheese that tastes salty and creamy enough for you to question its vegan-ness.

Although there is currently no dining available at Pop’s Eat Rite, you can always bring your burgers and vegan cheese fries into Tompkins Square Park a block away. Pop’s Eat Rite is open Tuesday through Sunday from noon to 9pm.
