Casa Bocado
Casa Bocado is a Mexican restaurant on Bowery with lots of plants, windows, and big leather booths. It looks like something you’d find in the Meatpacking District or in the bottom of a somewhat trendy hotel where business travelers might stay if the Marriott were sold out. The menu consists of things like enchiladas, a few different ceviches, and queso fundido, and everything is both decent and pricey. You can get three carnitas tacos for $16, for example, and they make for a perfectly fine snack. Split an order with someone, and have a few margaritas at one of the tables outside. That’s the best way to use this place.
