The Sylvester is a fun bar with a Florida-inspired design in Midtown. There’s flamingo wallpaper, plenty of comfortable seating, a pool table, and some really nice cocktails - which makes sense since this bar comes from the team behind Beaker and Gray. You can certainly come here just to drink, but they also have a decent menu of bar snacks and sandwiches like a grilled cheese and pastrami medianoche.
Wood is a classic Wynwood bar where you can hang outside, listen to hip-hop, and get free tacos on Tuesday.
Bakan in Wynwood is a big, shiny restaurant surrounded by cacti where you can get some decent Mexican food.
Swizzle is a dark, cozy bar inside South Beach’s Stiles Hotel, and the drinks are really delicious.
Cafe Roval on the Upper East Side has some of the prettiest outdoor seating in Miami and a slightly random Mediterranean menu.
