La Màrtola is yet another entry into Miami’s expensive Italian restaurant arena, which is becoming almost as crowded as our real estate agent community or collection of social media influencers wanted for questioning by the FBI. This Buena Vista restaurant lands somewhere in the middle of the pack. The crudo, pasta, and fluffy pizzas are sort of the food equivalent of TV shows you put on while you scroll. They're not very memorable, but they give your brain something to do while you stare at the blank white walls and fantasize about spending too much money at a wellness resort on the Amalfi Coast. Just don’t dissociate so hard that you don’t notice the flaky salt in the center of the table. It helps give some personality to the underseasoned food.
