CheeMc Soho
When you come to CheeMc, go upstairs. The red hue from the neon signage on the first floor of this Korean spot in Soho makes everyone look good, which you’ll appreciate when the spicy gochoo KFC makes your face flush. Plus, the higher up you are, the more likely you are to hear someone passionately belting out Korean pop songs from one of the private karaoke rooms on the top floor. It’s a laid-back restaurant, where friends gather to eagerly work their way through buckets of fried chicken. Give the rest of the long menu a miss and focus on the top-tier chicken. The crispy exterior is an ASMR dream and the soft meat inside remains tender and juicy. We’re big fans of the classic, but that must-order extra spicy gochoo will have you fighting tears for multiple reasons when you finish the last wing.
