Jeju Fresh Fish
Head to Jeju Fresh Fish in Koreatown for seafood feasts that have so many courses you might lose count. This Japanese-Korean seafood spot offers various sashimi-focused combo menus that will leave everyone in your group uncomfortably full. That’s how we felt after tackling the $160 Combo B that’s supposedly for two to three people, which begins with banchan and refreshing naengmyun before the heavy hitters arrive. The table gets crowded by massive sashimi platters with halibut and flounder, soy-marinated crab, grilled fish, tempura, spicy fish stew, and more. Plus, you can add on fresh uni or live octopus that’s still wiggling on the plate. The sashimi (known as hwe here) isn’t necessarily on par with the city’s best sushi spots, but it gets the job done. Bring a big group here for a filling meal that involves beer, soju, and the sound of fish tank pumps trickling behind you.
